Founded by attorney Razeen Khan, Akoodie Co. offers legal consulting informed by both academic insight and hands-on experience across a range of fields. With an LLB and LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Cape Town, and practical training completed in litigation and conveyancing, the consultancy is grounded in a solid foundation of legal knowledge and procedural fluency. With further experience rooted in various legal areas, we are well equipped to guide clients in diverse fields and subject matter.

Additional experience includes visas and immigration-related advisory, working with the UCT Law Clinic to promote access to justice, as well as the successful completion of the LEAD South African Law School programme, strengthening proficiency in professional ethics and multiple areas of the law. In-depth work in sectional title governance has shaped a strong understanding of property compliance, trustee obligations, and scheme operations.

Beyond client-facing work, Akoodie Co. has also contributed to legal education through lecturing in Mercantile Law and Business Law at the tertiary level, ensuring continued engagement with evolving legal frameworks. The practice is also backed by published research in the field of Intellectual Property Law, with a contribution featured in the South African Intellectual Property Law Journal, which journal article can be found linked on our blog page. In addition to this, Razeen has on multiple occasions, been published in the LexisNexis Property Law Digest (3rd ed, 2024 and 2nd ed, 2025 respectively).
